Known around the world for the award-winning MCTS Excellence program, MCTS is proud to offer outstanding customer service and state-of-the-art features including clean-diesel buses, Real-Time tracking information, WisGo in the Umo app, and WisGo Card. We’re continually working to improve rider experience, connectivity, efficiency and sustainability, and we have some exciting things on the horizon!

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)

Electric Buses | Reliable Travel Times | Increased Connections

The East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route called CONNECT 1 gives riders convenient access to employment, education and recreation in downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. With more than 30 stations, BRT features reliable transport every 10 minutes during peak times. BRT is cost-effective, efficient, and is proven to increase transit use with enhanced service frequencies and shorter travel times that will spark millions of dollars in economic development.

Planning is underway to develop a second CONNECT BRT to improve one of the busiest routes in our system, the PurpleLine, along 27th Street. Learn more about this exciting project here

Additional Programs

With programs like the U-PASS for college students and the Commuter Value Pass Program for our community’s workforce, MCTS is an essential contributor to the education and economic environment of Milwaukee County.
