• UPDATE: Effective Monday, November 21, 2011, the SOUTHBOUND detour for Route 40 will end due to the opening of the College Avenue southbound ramp on I-94. The northbound detour is still in effect until further notice.

  Effective Monday, October 3, 2011, Route 40 will detour due to the closure of the College Avenue ramps to I-43/I-94. Once construction has started, buses will detour as follows:
  Northbound:
  From College Avenue Park-Ride lot east on College Avenue to 13^th Street, south on 13^th Street to Rawson Avenue, west on Rawson Avenue and to northbound I-94 and to regular route.

  Southbound:
  From I-43/I-94 to Howard Avenue Exit, west on Howard Avenue to 13^th Street, south on 13^th Street to College Avenue, east on College Avenue to College Avenue Park-Ride Lot.

  Additionally, to ease congestion during construction, extra funds have been made available to add three extra trips, one AM and two PM trips, to the existing Route 40 schedule.  New schedules reflecting these changes will be available on board buses and online at RideMCTS.com starting Monday, October 3, 2011. The additional trip times are as follows:

• Effective Sunday, April 29, 2012 due to Michigan Street being closed for emergency work in the WESTBOUND LANES ONLY, Routes 12, 14, 23, 31, 33, 40, 43, 46, 48 and 137 will detour as follows:
  
  Routes 12, 14, 23, 31, 40, 43, 46, 48 and 137
  Westbound Only: Continue south on Broadway, to Clybourn, west to Plankinton, north to Wisconsin, west to regular route.
  
  Route 33
  Westbound Only: South on Broadway, to Clybourn, west to Plankinton, north to Wisconsin, west to regular route.
  
• Effective Monday, October 3, 2011, Routes 10, 12, 14, 30, 31, 40, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49, 79, 90, 137 and 143 will be detoured off of Wisconsin Avenue

  between 2nd Street and Broadway Street due to construction on the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge. Routes traveling both eastbound and westbound will be detoured . To reduce congestion, routes will be taking two different detours with Routes 12, 14, 31, 40, 43, 46, 48 and 137 traveling via Michigan Street and Routes 10, 30, 44, 49, 79, 90 and 143 traveling via Wells Street and Kilbourn Avenue.
