Affected Area: Eastbound stop in front of the Downtown Transit Center/833 E. Michigan Street - Stop #7709
Due to the destruction of the Downtown Transit Center, the eastbound stop on Michigan between Cass and Lincoln Memorial Drive for the routes 40, 43, 46, and 48 will be temporarily discontinued. In the meantime, passengers will be directed to board eastbound at Cass & Wisconsin.

Due to sewer and water construction closing Packard Avenue between Plankinton Avenue and Lunham Avenue, the Route 88 and 48 Flyer will detour as follows:
Route 88 PM Trips: From east on Layton Avenue, north (left) on Packard Avenue, west (left) on Plankinton Avenue, north (right) on Kingan Avenue, east (right) on Allerton Avenue to regular route.
Route 88 AM Trips: Continue west on Allerton Avenue to Kingan Avenue, south (left) on Kingan Avenue, east (left) on Plankinton Avenue, south (right) on Packard Avenue to regular route.
48 Flyer PM Trips: South on Packard Avenue to Lunham Avenue, west (right) on Lunham Avenue, south (left) on Kingan Avenue, east (left) on Plankinton Avenue, south (right) on Packard Avenue to regular route.
48 Flyer AM Trips: North on Packard Avenue to Plankinton Avenue, west (left) on Plankinton Avenue, north (right) on Kingan Avenue, east (right) on Lunham Avenue, north (left) on Packard Avenue to regular route.

Attention MCTS Freeway Flyer & UBUS Riders
Pertains to customers who Ride ONLY local streets on a Freeway Flyer Route
Effective Monday, September 29, 2014, the Milwaukee County Transit System will be implementing a new policy that will require any person riding on a Freeway Flyer route – even just a short segment of the route- to pay the Freeway Flyer fare.
This will NOT affect most riders and fares are NOT changing. Riders will still pay with a valid pass (i.e. CVP, U-PASS), Weekly/Monthly pass with cash premium, or the cash fare of $3.25 adult/$1.60 reduced.
In the past, MCTS was able to accommodate riders who rode Freeway Flyers for just a short distance by charging them a regular local fare ($2.25 adult cash or $1.1.0 reduced). MCTS will no longer be able to provide this service.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we implement this policy. Note: The $0.35 zone fare still applies for passengers who board or alight Route 79 in Waukesha County.
