Service Alerts for Route 79
Effective Monday, February 27, 2012 due to the repaving project on I-94, three trips will be added to Route 79 to better serve passengers. Two new AM trips and one new PM trip are as follows:

- Effective Thursday, March 1, 2012 due to the resurfacing project on eastbound I-94 the Route 79 will use alternate routing to avoid congestion. Please note that no stops are affected. The Route 79 will detour as follows:
Eastbound ONLY Route 79 (from Watertown Plank Park & Ride)
Enter I-45 south, exit at the Wisconsin Avenue exit, east on Wisconsin to regular route. - Effective Monday, October 3, 2011, Routes 10, 12, 14, 30, 31, 40, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49, 79, 90, 137 and 143 will be detoured off of Wisconsin Avenue
between 2nd Street and Broadway Street due to construction on the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge. Routes traveling both eastbound and westbound will be detoured . To reduce congestion, routes will be taking two different detours with Routes 12, 14, 31, 40, 43, 46, 48 and 137 traveling via Michigan Street and Routes 10, 30, 44, 49, 79, 90 and 143 traveling via Wells Street and Kilbourn Avenue.
