Obtaining a Reduced Fare Card

Elderly persons or people experiencing disability related difficulties in riding MCTS buses may be eligible to receive a MCTS Reduced Fare photo identification card that permits qualified persons to ride at a reduced fare on regular fixed route buses.   Please note that a valid Medicare Card provides sufficient identification for a reduced fare.

To have an application for a Reduced Fare card mailed to you, call 414-344-4550, extension 3592, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  You may also pick up an application in the Transit Plus office of MCTS, which is located at:

1942 N. 17th St., Milwaukee

Reduced Fare Application

Be sure to read and follow all instructions on the application.  We will only process your application if both:

• Section C is  completed and signed by a licensed medical practioner, AND
• A separate statement of diagnosis on the medical practitioner's letterhead or prescription pad is presented.
