Wisconsin State Fair

MCTS is the blue ribbon choice for an easy, safe and convenient way to get to the 2016 Wisconsin State Fair!


Our Shuttles, Freeway Flyers and local routes all take riders straight to the gates of State Fair Park August 4 through August 14. 




 LOCAL SERVICE TO THE STATE FAIR

MCTS offers special service from Downtown Milwaukee to the State Fair via Route 23F. Route 23F serves all Route 23 bus stops from downtown to Greenfield & 70th, then it serves all Route 56 bus stops from Greenfield & 70th to Greenfield & 84th.

LOCAL ROUTE & 23F FARE
Regular fares are in effect for Route 23F and all local routes

Adults
  • MCTS M•CARD Stored Cash Value - $1.75
  • Cash - $2.25           
  • Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.

 Children (ages 6 - 11), seniors (65 and over) and persons with disabilities with proper ID. Children under 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.

  • MCTS M•CARD or Cash - $1.10
  • Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.



WATERTOWN PLANK SHUTTLE SERVICE

Shuttle service operates every day of the Fair from 7:30 am until 30 minutes after it closes. Shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes from the Watertown Plank Road Park-Ride lot to Gate 4 of State Fair Park. The Watertown Plank Road Park-Ride lot is located at the intersection of Watertown Plank Road and Swan Boulevard, just west of US Hwy 45. Parking is free.

  • MCTS M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass OR Valid Transfer - Free
  • Cash $3.00
  • Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.
Round-trip fare: Children ages (6-11), seniors (65 and older) and persons with disabilities with proper ID. Children under age 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.

FREEWAY FLYER SERVICE

Freeway Flyers operate every day of the Fair from 7:30 am until 30 minutes after it closes. Flyers provide service approximately every 30 minutes between the following park-ride lots and Gate 4 of State Fair Park:

  • Brown Deer East – Brown Deer Rd., west of I-43
  • College – College Ave, at I-94 (both lots north and south of College)
  • Loomis – Loomis Rd., north of I-894 and south of Coldspring Rd.
  • Whitnall/Hales Corners – I-43, east of S. 108th St.
 
FREEWAY FLYER FARE 
Round-trip fare: Adults
  • MCTS M•CARD $4.70
  • MCTS M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass OR Valid Transfer - Tap card. Will be charged an additional $2.
  • Cash $6.50
  • Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.
Round-trip fare: Children ages (6-11), seniors (65 and older) and persons with disabilities with proper ID. Children under age 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.
  • MCTS M•CARD $3.00
  • MCTS M•CARD 1-, 7- or 31-Day Pass OR Valid Transfer - Tap card. Will be charged an additional 80 cents.
  • Cash $3.00
  • Commuter Value Pass, GO Pass, New Freedom Pass or an M•CARD with an active 1-, 7- or 31-day pass are accepted as full fare.

Pay full amount of fare when boarding to State Fair.

NOTES

  • On all routes to State Fair, the U-PASS (summer semester), GO Pass, New Freedom Pass and Commuter Value Pass are accepted as full fare
  • Times may vary due to construction and traffic delays. Please plan your trip to State Fair to account for possible construction and/or traffic delays
  • Park in designated spaces at the park-ride lots to ensure buses and patrols can get through the lots easily 
  • Cars that are parked illegally could receive tickets and/or be towed by local authorities 
  • In order to keep your car safe in a parking lot, we recommend you do not leave anything of value in your car and do not leave anything in view in the passenger compartment. Always lock your doors and report any issues to the police agency where the lot is located
