What is U-PASS?
U-PASS gives you unlimited transportation. It is a semester long bus pass that can be used on any MCTS bus route. The cost is part of your university tuition or fees, so there is no additional charge when you pick it up or use it.
How do I get my U-PASS?
Where you pick up your semester U-PASS depends on whether you are a UWM, Marquette University, MATC, MIAD or Bryant & Stratton College student. Check the page for your school to see where to pick up your U-PASS.
Is my U-PASS only good for trips to and from school?
No. You can use your U-PASS to travel for any purpose and to any destination on any MCTS bus route. Use it any times buses operate on any day, including weekends, holidays and even during breaks and recess periods. Your U-PASS also is good on all MCTS and 143 Ozaukee County Express freeway flyer routes.
How much can I save?
You can save hundreds of dollars in reduced gas and maintenance costs, as well as reduce wear and tear on your car and the hassle of driving in rush hour traffic. If you live away from home, you also might want to consider the many apartment rental opportunities along the bus routes to and from UWM, Marquette University, MATC, MIAD and Bryant & Stratton College.
How does the U-PASS help disabled students?
If you are eligible to participate in the Milwaukee County Transit Plus program, your U-PASS can be used to waive the initial Transit Plus portion of the fare for each trip you take. To find out more about this benefit, call (414) 343-1700. All MCTS bus routes are wheelchair accessible.
U-PASS can be made available at any college or university in the MCTS service area. Call the MCTS Marketing Department at 414-937-3251 for more information.
