MCTS Driver Carlos Nunez

Bus Driver Runs to Hospital to Get Passenger Help

placeholder

The minute Carlos Nunez heard something was wrong with one of his passengers he knew he had to do something.

Carlos was driving the Route 51 when one of his passengers complained she was having a heart attack. By coincidence the bus was stopped across the street from St. Luke's Medical Center. Carlos ran across the busy street and into the emergency room to get help.

Paramedics from the Milwaukee Fire Department arrived on the scene within minutes and took the elderly woman to the hospital.

The woman, Marlene, called MCTS to thank Carlos.

"Thank him with all my heart. He was a blessing to me that day," Marlene told us.

Carlos, who has been driving for MCTS for 20 years, says in his low key way, that he was just doing his job.
