The Original Lite Beer is teaming up with Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) to offer Miller Lite Free Rides to everyone on St. Patrick’s Day. In partnership with Beer Capitol Distributing, Miller Lite Free Rides will be available on all MCTS bus routes Friday, Mar. 17, beginning at 6 p.m. until the end of regular service.

“As part of our overall commitment to our hometown communities, we want everyone to have a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but do so responsibly,” said Diane Wagner, MillerCoors alcohol responsibility manager. “Our goal is to keep Milwaukee roadways safe with our Free Rides program while raising awareness that drunk driving is completely preventable.”

Since 1994, nearly 800,000 Milwaukeeans have taken advantage of the Miller Lite Free Rides on St. Patrick’s Day. The program has gained the support of local and state law enforcement, elected officials and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Miller Lite Free Rides will also be offered in the Twin Cities on St. Patrick’s Day.

“We are excited to once again partner with Miller Lite to offer Miller Lite Free Rides, a long-standing St. Patrick’s Day tradition,” said Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive. “We want to remind the community to let MCTS be its designated driver.”

“As a member of the community for more than 36 years, Beer Capitol Distributing is proud to play a role in bringing this great service back to Milwaukee,” said, David Neville, Vice President-Sales.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Miller Lite and MCTS to make sure that everyone can access cultural experiences like the Irish Fest and get home from them safely,” said Michelle Nickels, Director of Marketing & Digital Marketing of Celtic MKE.

In holding true to Miller Lite’s commitment to doing good in our communities, the Miller Lite Free Rides program has provided more than 5.8 million people nationwide with a safe ride home and is part of MillerCoors overall commitment to preventing drunk driving.
