Bublr Bikes Honors MCTS with 'Connecting Milwaukee' Award

MILWAUKEE — Bublr Bikes honored the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) on August 22, 2020 with a Connecting Milwaukee award during the annual Bublr Bash fundraiser.

MCTS Planning Manager Jeff Sponcia and Transit Planner Emmanuel Okoro were proud to accept the award from Bublr Bikes Executive Director James Davies. The entire MCTS team appreciates the opportunity to work with Bublr Bikes year-round, in an ongoing effort to better connect people all across our community.

Whether you're an avid cyclist, riding for exercise, riding to make that last mile connection, or just looking for a fun way to get around, MCTS believes that buses and bicycles complement each other perfectly.

Fun Facts:

  • Every bus in our fleet is equipped with an easy-to-use bike rack on the front.
  • More than 80% of Bublr Bikes stations are co-located with MCTS bus stops.
  • Bublr stations are announced via MCTS on-bus audio announcements.
  • The Buslr Pass is an integrated RFID pass that allows users to move seamlessly between MCTS and Bublr. You can buy one here.
  • MCTS is proud to sponsor a Bublr bike share station alongside Johnsons Park at 17th & Brown, across the street from the MCTS Administration Building.
