MCTS Mourns Loss of Bus Operator Augie Biami

We are devastated to share the news that a member of our Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) family passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

Augie Biami, 47, died after suffering a medical incident while his bus was parked during a layover near 13th Street and College Avenue in Milwaukee.

Augie joined MCTS in November 2020 and worked out of the Kinnickinnic Station.

The MCTS team is grateful for Augie’s service and dedication to the community. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and co-workers during this difficult time.

“On behalf of Milwaukee County, I offer my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Augie Biami who passed away unexpectedly yesterday while on duty," said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. "He was a faithful and dedicated public servant who served his community well. He will be missed greatly by his Milwaukee County family."
