As part of the MCTS NEXT process, MCTS staff spent nearly a year examining and evaluating every route and bus stop across the MCTS service area to identify opportunities for improvements, added efficiency, and faster service.

This study helped MCTS create two proposed route maps. Based on feedback gathered from thousands of people and groups in Milwaukee County, we have now developed a Recommended System Map that will soon be submitted to the Milwaukee County Board for approval. This plan is now available for final public comment online and in-person at our Open House sessions.

Transit systems across the country that have gone through reviews similar to MCTS NEXT have seen overall ridership increase and customer satisfaction improve.
