MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee County and the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) are beginning a North-South Transit Enhancement Study along and near 27th Street.
The study will analyze the feasibility of options that would enhance transit service, increase frequency, reduce travel times, add amenities, and potentially expand the existing Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) PurpleLine service area. Both rail and bus services will be evaluated.
The public is invited to the first round of virtual public meetings for the study on Tuesday, February 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, February 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants will learn more about existing transit in the corridor, the purpose and goals for the study, project timelines, and have opportunities to provide feedback.
Visit mkenorthsouth.com for more information and to register for the meetings.
