- Effective Monday, May 14, 2012, Water Street between Wells and Kilbourn will be closed due to work on the City Hall Building. Route 57 and the GreenLine northbound only will detour as follows:

- GreenLine Detour Effective 4/25/2012
Effective Wednesday, April 25, 2012 buses will be detoured off of Oakland Avenue between North Avenue and Brady Street due to construction. During this time please board buses as follows:
Southbound: Board buses at comparable stops along Farwell Avenue.
Northbound: Board buses at comparable stops along Prospect Avenue.
- Routes 14, 55, 64 and 76 Temporary Stop Relocation at Southridge Effective 4/14/2012
Effective Saturday April 14, 2012 the existing temporary stop for Routes 14, 55, 64 and 76 at Southridge will be relocated during the hours of 7 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturdays and from 7 AM to 4 PM on Sundays ONLY.
During those hours please board buses at the existing Route 46 bus stop located on the northeast side of the Southridge property near Pyramax Bank.
During this time these routes will be using detour routing, however no additional stops will be affected.
- Routes 44, 54 and 67 Detour Effective 4/16/2012
- Effective Monday, April 16, 2012 Routes 44, 54 and 67 will be detoured off on National Avenue and 92nd Street between Becher Street and Hayes Street until further notice due to the closure of the intersection at 92nd Street and National Avenue. During this time please use the following stops in that area:
Board Route 44 buses at Lincoln Avenue and 92nd Street or 84th Street and Becher Street.
Board Route 54 buses at 90th Street and National Avenue.
Board Route 67 buses at 90th Street and Lincoln Avenue or Hayes Street and 92nd Street.
- Routes 15 and 48 Detour Effective 3/5/2012
- Effective Monday, March 5, 2012 Packard Avenue will be closed between Layton and Munkwitz due to sewer construction. Routes 15 and 48 will detour as follows:
Routes 15 and 48 - Southbound
Continue east on Plankinton to Kirkwood, south to Munkwitz, west to Packard and south to regular route.
Route 15 - Northbound
East on Munkwitz to Kirkwood, north to Plankinton and west to regular route.
Route 48 - Northbound
East on Munkwitz to Kirkwood, north to Plankinton, west to Packard and north to regular route.
- Route 44U Detour Effective 3/1/2012
- Effective Thursday, March 1, 2012, due to the resurfacing project on eastbound I-94 the on ramp to I-94 east at 68th street is closed. Due to this closure and also to avoid congestion, the 44U will be using detour routing during off-peak times and additional alternate routing during the morning and evening peak times. The route 44U will detour as follows:
Eastbound ONLY Route 44U (from 76th & Kearney)
Between 7:00 AM & 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM & 5:30 PM (Rush hours)
Continue east on Kearney to 68th Street, north to Bluemound, east to Wisconsin, east to 2nd Street, south to Michigan, east to Lincoln Memorial Drive, north to regular route.
Between 9:00 AM & 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM (Off-peak hours)
South on 76th Street to Main Street (Main runs through the State Fair parking lot), west to 84th Street, north to Kearney, east to on ramp for eastbound I-94.
- Route 44 Detour Effective 3/1/2012

- Route 79 Detour Effective 3/1/2012
- Effective Thursday, March 1, 2012 due to the resurfacing project on eastbound I-94 the Route 79 will use alternate routing to avoid congestion. Please note that no stops are affected. The Route 79 will detour as follows:
Eastbound ONLY Route 79 (from Watertown Plank Park & Ride)
Enter I-45 south, exit at the Wisconsin Avenue exit, east on Wisconsin to regular route.
- Route 44U Schedule Change Due to I-94 Project Effective 2/27/2012
Effective Monday, February 27, 2012, the Route 44U will be changing due to the repaving project on I-94. During this project additional service has been added to the 44U to better serve customers and to help reduce congestion.
- Route 19 (13th Street Trips Only) Temporary Detour Effective 2/21/2012
- Effective Tuesday, February 21, 2012, 13th Street will be closed between Ramsey Avenue and Grange Avenue for bridge demolition from 8 am to 8 pm. Buses will use 20th street during this time. Please be patient as delays may result from this closure.
- New Trips Added on Route 79 Effective 2/27/2012
Effective Monday, February 27, 2012 due to the repaving project on I-94, three trips will be added to Route 79 to better serve passengers. Two new AM trips and one new PM trip are as follows:

- Temporary Stop Relocation at Southridge Due to Construction Effective 2/6/2012
Effective Monday, February 6, 2012 the current bus stop for Routes 14, 55, 64 and 76 at Southridge will be temporarily relocated due to construction. During this time please board buses at the bus stop to the north end of Sears (upper level). Look for temporary posted signs which indicate the new boarding area.
- Important Message Regarding Route 68 Service
The Route 68 name and number will be retired as of Sunday, January 29, 2012. While service on Green Tree Road, Lake Drive and Brown Deer Road and also on Port Washington Road, between Capitol Drive and Keefe Avenue will be discontinued, the majority of service has been transferred to other routes. Those transferred sections are as follows:
Transferred Segment to Route 63 – on Port Washington Road between Bayshore and Brown Deer Road
Transferred Segment to Route 15 – on Port Washington Road between Capitol Drive and Bayshore
- Important Message Regarding Route 18 Service
The Route 18 name and number will be retired as of Sunday, January 29, 2012. While service on 92nd Street between National Avenue and Greenfield Avenue will be discontinued, the majority of service has been transferred to other routes. Those transferred sections are as follows:
Transferred segment to Route 23 and BlueLine – along 2nd Street and National Avenue from Wisconsin Avenue to 70th Street & Greenfield Avenue
Transferred segment to Route 56 – on Greenfield Avenue between 70th Street to 124th Street
Transferred segment to Route 54 – on National Avenue and Cleveland Avenue between 92nd Street and 108th Street
- Important Message Regarding Route 11 Service
The Route 11 name and number will be retired as of Sunday, January 29, 2012. While service on Bolivar, Pine and Layton will be discontinued, the majority of service has been transferred to other routes. Those transferred sections are as follows:
Transferred segment to New Route 56 – on Greenfield Avenue between 1st Street and Miller Park Way
Transferred segment to Route 15 – on Milwaukee Street and Holton Street
Transferred segment to GreenLine – on Howell Avenue to Airport
- Important UBUS Service Dates
The following is the UBUS service schedule during exams and breaks for the 2012 spring semester. Please read carefully:
When UWM is on spring recess, the 40U will run the exam/break schedule from Monday, March 19, 2012 through Friday, March 23, 2011.
However, while UWM is on break from Monday, March 19, 2012 through Friday, March 23, 2012, the 44U and 49U will NOT be operating.
The 40U, 44U and 49U will resume regular service Monday March 26, 2012.
The 40U, 44U and 49U will continue to run regular schedules during MATC’s spring break from Friday, April 6, 2012 through Friday, April 15, 2012. The 42U will NOT run while MATC is on break.
At the end of the semester the 40U, 44U and 49U will run regular service through Thursday, May 10, 2012 and an exam schedule starting Friday, May 11, 2012 through Friday, May 18, 2012.
The 42U will continue running through Friday, May 18, 2011.
There will be no UBUS service after Friday, May 18, 2012 until the fall 2012 semester.
Reminder: UBUSes do NOT operate on weekends.
- Route 40 Detour Effective 10/3/2011
UPDATE: Effective Monday, November 21, 2011, the SOUTHBOUND detour for Route 40 will end due to the opening of the College Avenue southbound ramp on I-94. The northbound detour is still in effect until further notice.
Effective Monday, October 3, 2011, Route 40 will detour due to the closure of the
College Avenue ramps to I-43/I-94. Once construction has started, buses will
detour as follows:
Northbound:
From College Avenue Park-Ride lot east on College Avenue to 13th
Street, south on 13th Street to Rawson Avenue, west on Rawson Avenue
and to northbound I-94 and to regular route.
Southbound:
From I-43/I-94 to Howard Avenue Exit, west on Howard
Avenue to 13th Street, south on 13th Street to College
Avenue, east on College Avenue to College Avenue Park-Ride Lot.
Additionally, to ease congestion during construction,
extra funds have been made available to add three extra trips, one AM and two
PM trips, to the existing Route 40 schedule. New schedules reflecting these changes will be
available on board buses and online at RideMCTS.com starting Monday, October 3,
2011. The additional trip times are as follows:

- Wisconsin Avenue Routes to Detour During Long Term Construction Effective 10/3/2011
- Effective Monday, October 3, 2011, Routes 10, 12, 14, 30, 31, 40, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49, 79, 90, 137 and 143 will be detoured off of Wisconsin Avenue
between 2nd Street and Broadway Street due to construction on the Wisconsin Avenue Bridge. Routes traveling both eastbound and westbound will be detoured . To reduce congestion, routes will be taking two different detours with Routes 12, 14, 31, 40, 43, 46, 48 and 137 traveling via Michigan Street and Routes 10, 30, 44, 49, 79, 90 and 143 traveling via Wells Street and Kilbourn Avenue. - Route 76 Detour 68 Street Trips Only Effective 8/30/2011
- Due to construction on 70th Street between Main Street and Adler, the Route 76 Via 68th street trips ONLY will detour as follows:
Northbound: Continue north on 70th street to Kearney, east to 68th street , north to regular route.
Southbound: West on O’Connor to 70th Street, south to regular route.

- The trip leaving MATC North at 7:35 am and arriving at the Downtown Transit Center at 8:10 am does not exist. The trip was added to the schedule due to an error. We apologize for any confusion.
