What are Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Apple Pay and Google Pay are mobile payment options that add convenience for riders using their mobile phones. Paying for transit fares should be quick and easy, and now you can use your credit card stored in your mobile wallet to pay for transit fares in the Umo Mobility App.

 

How do Apple Pay and Google Pay benefit riders?

Riders can quickly pay for transit fares from their mobile phones without the hassle of reentering their credit card information during checkout.

 

How do I purchase transit passes using Apple Pay and Google Pay?

  • In the Umo Mobility App, select your transit agency and choose the fare product you would like to purchase.
  • Under “select payment method,” you can continue to pay with your entered credit card or choose to use Apple Pay or Google Pay, if configured in your device’s mobile wallet. • Press “continue” to purchase your selected fare product.
  • Your purchased fare product will automatically load to your Umo account. • Show your QR code to the driver when boarding as you normally do.
  • For future purchases, your last payment type will be automatically saved in the Umo Mobility App.

 

Are there any additional fees when using Apple Pay and Google Pay in the Umo Mobility App?

There are no additional fees for using Apple Pay and Google Pay.

 

Can I still pay using my personal credit card?

Yes. You can choose to continue using your credit card directly in the Umo Mobility App or switch to Apple Pay and Google Pay at any time. The last payment type will be automatically saved for your next purchase.
