When a bus rider fell crossing Oakland Avenue in Shorewood, she found help from MCTS Driver Sandra Lachenschmidt.
The woman had just gotten off of Sandra's GreenLine bus and was crossing the street to transfer to a westbound route when she tumbled to the ground. Sandra immediately secured her bus and then raced out to help.
Sandra lifted the woman off the ground and then picked up her cane and belongings that had fallen.
Sandra made sure the woman was not hurt, then she walked her across the street.
