Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) Driver Justin Bonds was at a red light at Layton Boulevard and National Avenue in Milwaukee on January 4, 2020 when he saw someone in a wheelchair struggling to cross the street.
The woman was using a cane to push herself backwards along the crosswalk, but unfortunately the light turned green and the woman was still in the middle of the road.
As traffic started to rush by, Justin got out of his bus, ran across the intersection, and helped guide the woman to safety.
